They Don’t Really Care About Us

He did it knowing he was being filmed but he didn’t care because he didn’t think the black man under his knee was a man but an animal.

Three accessories to murder masquerading as police officers watched and not once did one of them think I should stop this because they didn’t think the black man who couldn’t breath was a man but an animal.

They met the protesters with tear gas, mace and rubber bullets because they didn’t think they were men and women but animals.

They didn’t charge him with 1st degree murder because they don’t believe the life he took was that of a man but of an animal.

Wait…I’m wrong because a dog is an animal and they care more about a dog’s life than the lives of African Americans.

Because they don’t really care about us.

I’m Tired

As an African American

I am tired of seeing this play out over and over again.

I’m tired of the apologists for police brutality.

I’m tired of African American parents having to have conversations with their children about the dangers of simply being African American.

I’m tired of being told not to get angry about it.

I’m tired of having my patriotism questioned when I do.

I’m tIred of the so called liberals who join in on the hashtags and claim to be outraged but sit in silence on the topic of race and social injustice when they get around each other.

I’m tired

It’s Time for America to Overcome

I have seen many people today including African Americans, denouncing the protests/riots in Minneapolis especially the looting of the Target and while I am a proponent of non-violence it is rather difficult to expect that after centuries of oppression and the senseless killing of our people African Americans are expected to continue to peacefully march and sing we shall overcome.

We will overcome?

We already have overcome:
Our culture being stripped from us
The lost of our ancestral history
Slavery
Lynchings
Jim Crow

We are still battling
Economic injustice
Socialinjustice but we have not let it destroy us as a people

Now is the time for America to overcome its
Racism and Bigotry

Only then will America truly be the country it gave lip service to when it was founded. One where all people are created equal.

Even the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. understood there was a time when a peaceful non-violent protest was not always going to bring about the necessary change.

A plague to our own existence.

Got out of physical therapy today to hear about a terrorist attack in lower Manhattan. To close to home since I work in the area I made phone calls and thankfully as far as I know everyone is safe. Then I saw the Immediate reaction from the usual suspects on both sides. What do we call this? A terrorist attack? Wait we have to see the ethnicity of the attacker if it doesn’t fit the narrative we have to call it something else. Seriously I’m tired of this. Do you really think the families that were killed today give a damn what we call it? Today we lost innocent lives you call it what you want, to push your political agenda, be it a white guy in Vegas or an apparent middle eastern individual in Manhattan it is best identified as the actions of a deranged coward. Taking innocent lives does not advance your cause, rid you of your demons or worship your god it simply makes you a killer. Global warming, comet strike, etc none of that will be the end of man. Man will be the end of man and sadly we seem to be in a rush to get to the finish line.

As agent Smith said in the Matrix

“Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You’re a plague”

We must stop the madness -All lives matter

image

You can not help but be saddened by the senseless murder of two police officers in Brooklyn today. This was not about liberal vs conservative, black vs white. community vs police. This was simply a cowardly reprehensible evil act by a lone individual. We must come together as people to stop the madness, we must understand that all life is precious. That all lives matter. We must stand together as one to denounce those who advocate violence or else there is no hope for any of us.
