We long for the vision of the bright, beautiful flower gleaming in the sunlight. But before the flower can gleam, the skies must darken; the rain must fall so that it can grow and burst through the ground. Be patient; good things are growing for us at this very moment, even if we can’t see them.
Embrace every second of every day because the next second is not promised.
Never let anyone or anything stop you from reaching for and achieving your dreams every second of every day. Let no one other than yourself say what you can or can’t do, what your limits are. Only you can control your destiny.
Embrace those you love every second of every day. You should never take those you love for granted and assume that they will always be there. You should never be afraid to love someone because others say you shouldn’t. Your love is from your is yours, and it is from your heart; embrace it and act on it.
Be thankful for what you have every second of every day while striving for more. Never let someone belittle you based on material goods or economic status. It is who you are, not what you have, that defines who you are as a person.

What if I told you don’t live to live but LIVE TO LIVE? Would you know the difference?
What if I told you it’s not what other people see when they look at you that defines you? It’s what you see when you look at yourself that determines how high you will soar?
What if I told you that the only person who can take your dreams away from you is yourself? Would you start believing in yourself or keep looking for reasons why you can’t.
What if I told you the people who say you can’t make it are the same ones who are afraid you will?
What if I told you that the greatest tragedy of the world today is that the ignorance of the many too often silences your greatness? Would you stay true to yourself or change so you can “fit in”?
What if I told you that the people who tell you that you cannot be great are usually the same ones who do not possess the courage to try and be great themselves.
What if I told you life is too short to settle for being ordinary? That to great you have to be bold and step off the cliff. Are you ready for that, or are you so afraid that you’ll fall you accept being just one of many?
I have been there; we all have clinging to hope and feeling like we are nurturing little more than a pipe-dream. Doubt creeps in, and we wonder if we will ever accomplish what we set out to do if we will ever find the happiness we so desperately want. But that doubt is only a state of mind designed to soften the blow if we fail to act a defensive mechanism of sorts. But the truth is to accomplish our goals, manifest our happiness, we must cast away all doubt. For we will never find what we are looking for if deep down we doubt it is even there. We must step bodily to the precipice of our hopes, dreams, and desires and reach out and claim them with no doubts that they are there and no doubt that they are ours for the taking.
Today June 7th is Prince’s birthday and I believe we should heed his words and think of ourselves and live our lives like this.

What if I told you life is too short to settle for being ordinary? What if I told you to be great, you have to be bold and step off the cliff? Are you ready to soar with the eagles, or are you so afraid that you’ll fall you accept being just one of many?
The seconds that have passed since you started reading this are gone forever. That’s how time works. Once a moment passes, it is gone forever, and life is a series of never-ending moments, some good, some bad, but each defines who you are. Embrace the present, take advantage of the opportunities it presents and learn from the lessons it teaches. Because if you don’t, once the moment has passed, it is gone forever, and if you squander it, you will be left to wonder what if.
Do not deny who you are. Our understanding of who we are prevents others from defining us and allows us to identify those areas in our life that need improvement. We may not always like what we discover through self-assessment, but it is a fundamental aspect of growth.
Embrace fear it is the only way to overcome it. In improving ourselves we will undoubtedly encounter twists and turns. If we are fearful of what is around the next turn, we risk letting opportunity pass us by.
Remember we will never stop growing if we know who we are and embrace out fears.
None of us is born with our future decided. We all begin with a blank canvass waiting for us to take hold of a pen and draw our destiny. It is vital for our growth to remember that none of us has to accept what is because others have told us we are not meant to rise above it. We’ll never know what our future could genuinely be unless we take hold of that pen and draw our own destiny.
