White Power? It’s 2020 right and the President is promoting white power

My political views are no secret, but this is not political this is deeply personal

The President of the United States of America just proudly posted a video of Trump supporters screaming White Power.

Let me say that again the President of the United States of America just proudly posted a video of Trump supporters screaming White Power.

My United States of America!

The country my ancestors, despite being marginalized, terrorized and killed simply because of the color of their skin, have defended in war and without their contributions this country would not be nearly what it is today.

This should convince every person and I mean every single person of color to register and vote for Biden as well as any member of the GOP party who enable him and it’s now it’s at the point if you’re not a person of color and you tell me you support him or you remain silent on the issue I have to assume you too are racist.

Too many people of color have suffered
Too many people of color have been unjustly treated
Too many people of color have been terrorized and KILLED by people screaming those same words!

SILENCE IS NOT AN OPTION!

What I Don’t Like

I don’t like:
Seeing people getting hurt
Seeing innocent business owners watched their life’s work destroyed
Seeing a movement being marred by the actions of those who loot and riot only to enrich themselves or push the narrative in a negative direction for their own depraved political gain

I also don’t like
Open season on African-Americans
Killers who mar the good name of most police officers by masquerading as them
Racism
Bigotry

But what I don’t like most of all is a President who does not speak to America but instead hides behind twitter using the tragedy of George Floyd and the subsequent unrest it has sparked to post tweets designed to spread division hate & racism. Tweets designed to motivate his base to harken back to a time when they felt America was Great. A time when “vicious” dogs were unleashed on protesters of racial inequality. Tweets designed to try and keep him in power so he can continue to “loot” this country of its morality and enrich himself.

We as a people ain’t going nowhere!

”Go back where you came from.”

“If you don’t love it leave it.”

Words of those who are the most unpatriotic among us.

Words of those who would rather see a country divided against itself than united for the common good of all.

Words of those who don’t care if America ever truly lives up to the ideas on which it was founded on.

Words of those who hate.

Words of those who look to profit from humanity’s natural fear of the unknown.

Words of those who look to tap into, for personal gain, the innate prejudices that we all harbor with-in just waiting for someone to unleash it.

But they are only words.

We as a people must rebuke these words.

We as a people must come together through our actions to shout down those words.

We as a people must form a coalition of the righteous to defeat the hatred of those words.

We as a people must shout for all to hear:

Your words mean nothing!

Because I am here!

Because this is my country as much as yours!

Because I love my country and as such I will continue to fight for the values it was founded on!

Because we as a people ain’t going nowhere!

Hate = Ugly – Unity = Beauty

There is nothing more ugly than division and hate for each other with the exception of those who promote it for personal gain. One day they will have to stand before the creator and justify the unjustifiable.

There is nothing more beautiful than unity and compassion for each other. Blessings shall be showered unto those of us who who practice it. For we all God’s children regardless of what we may look like.

We are all Human

Some of us are republicans some democrats and some independents. Some of us are people of color some of us are not. Some of us are heterosexual some homosexual some bisexual.  Some of us Christian some Muslim some Jewish some atheists and a hosts of other beliefs. In the end we are all American and most importantly we are all humans.

In some of us thete is often a fear of the unknown, an irrational fear that leads to isolation. Isolation leads to a lack of knowledge and understanding about those that are different from us and if history has taught us anything it is that a lack of knowledge often leads to disastrous results. It also can lead to the continuous growth of the prejudices we all have with-in us. Those prejudices are stripped away as we begin to understand those who differ from us. However for those who remain isolated those prejudices remain and can be easily stoked by people in power who do so for the goal of advancing their wealth and power. These individuals thrive on chaos and division. They speak non truths and keep the people divided against each other rather than uniting for the betterment of mankind as a whole.  They want us to be afraid of each other, they want us to hate each other, they want us to lose our compassion for each other, they want us to build walls to separate us. This strategy allows them to take advantage of us all. As Suzy Kassem wrote

When two brothers are busy fighting, an evil man can easily attack and rob their poor mother.

We must strive as Americans and humans to rise above the evil that seeks to divide us.  We must stand together and keep moving forward as a society. We must marginalize those who refuse to embrace diversity. For in unifying one voice into many voices we will be able to change the despair of today into the promise of tomorrow and from that we all will be better.
