Each day I awake anxious to continue my conversation with you, to thank you for the chance to walk another day upon the Earth. I am encouraged in the belief that no matter where the day shall take me I never walk alone. Each day my life is little more enriched by the knowledge you are my savior and my soul burns with the light of a thousand lights knowing that because of my faith in you and your love for me nothing is impossible. I endeavor to let nothing or no one come between me and my faith. I am reassured in the belief that as I continue to give you praise and strengthen my faith in you nothing can diminish your love for me. I revel in the knowledge that I need not worry about earthly problems because you help carry my load and in your ultimate wisdom will bestow on to me the strength and courage to overcome. I am fortunate enough to have found you for you are truly my best friend and my strongest ally and it is for that reason that I am truly blessed.
Anyone can say they have faith but it is only those whose relationship with the Lord is strong and pure that truly have it. Life gives us our share of up and downs and as with anything the up times are easy. During the up times we cruise along enjoying the moment. For so many of us we do not take the time to stop and praise the Lord for bestowing upon us his blessings, believing rather arrogantly that it is we ourselves and we alone that are responsible for our success. But true faith is defined by our actions in the down times. It is in the downtimes that our arrogance is stripped from us. It is doing the downtime that many of us blame the Lord for our troubles. True faith asks are you willing to accept responsibility for your part in whatever has gone wrong. Are you willing to make the changes required to strengthen your relationship with the Lord, or will you simply grumble that he has forsaken you and walk away from Him. For so many of us when faced with this choice we find it easier to just walk away from the Lord. Now do not misconstrue me the fact is that for the vast majority of us our faith comes with some semblance of doubt. We are after all human and by definition none of us are perfect and as such it is natural that our faith wavers at times, especially in times of tribulation. However for those whose faith in the Lord is strong and pure while it may initially waver eventually we realize that the Lord always walks with us because of He created us, we are His children, He forgives our sins and He loves us. We believe that He is always working to remove our troubles and provide us with a new and renewed spirit. We fall back on our faith not because we say we have it but because it is pure and true. Because we value the good times the Lord has provided for us and understand that the only way not to lose them is to praise Him each and every day, in good and bad times. It is when we are willing to let go and put our faith in the Lord will we see that there is nothing He will let us go without, that with Him all things are possible. It is only then that we can truly say we have faith and that it is pure and true.
Something is weighing heavy on your soul. You seem lost and on the brink of no return. Yet you have turned away from your most powerful ally, the Lord.
Maybe you are worried how He will react if you talk to Him about your troubles. Maybe you think that because in good times you have gone so long without talking to Him and now feared his reaction when you reach out to him in times of despair.
Maybe you think that if you let Him in you’ll be a burden to Him. That you only are coming to Him because of the adversity you are facing.
Maybe you think He doesn’t care. Why else would you be in this situation if He did?
But what you should know is very simply this – the Lord will never let you walk alone. Not today, not tomorrow. You are His child and there will never be anything you cannot talk to Him about. Nothing you can not overcome with Him by your side. If you have faith in Him there will never be a time He will not be there for you.
He does these things not because He has too. But because of His love for us. A love that is everlasting. A love that saw Him give us His only son so that we me be forgiven of sin.
Embrace Him, praise Him, talk to Him, free yourself from worry and have faith that He will unburden your soul from the troubles that are consuming you.
Webster defines air asthe mixture of invisible odorless tasteless gases (such as nitrogen and oxygen) that surrounds the earth. Invisible, odorless and tasteless yet It is vital that living things respire to get the oxygen for living cells to function. Without air, there is no life.
Faith is much like the air we can not see. We cannot use physical proof of the Lord’s existence but rather it is our faith that validates his being. Those with faith believe without seeing. We feel His presence not in the physical sense but in the spiritual sense. We accept unconditionally that while He cannot be seen or touched His hand is touching our soul, guiding us, walking with us, protecting us. We feel His aura as it surrounds us. We recognize that He has no beginning and no end and that with Him nothing is impossible without Him there would be no life.
What does it mean to be American. It means you are part of a diverse community that includes individuals of different races, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, religious beliefs and a host of other differences. That we embrace those differences so together we become greater than the sum of all us. That we educate ourselves on each other’s differences so we may be better understand our fellow Americans. That we rebuke those who believe in dividing us by stoking the prejudices and fears that innately resides in each of us so they can enhance their own power and wealth. That we reject the notion that preaching uniformity will make America great again, as if the continued diversification of this great land made us not great. That we dismiss those who believe we should isolate ourselves from others instead of showing compassion for those who are suffering from other countries. That we do not simply quote the words All Men are Created Equal but that we actively live them. It is in the melding of each one of us into society as a whole and the embrace of that philosophy that makes us American.
There are times we feel overwhelmed. Times when we put too much on our shoulders, blame ourselves for all that is wrong. We each have to deal with our issues in our own way. However, for all of us it is easier dealing with our issues when we know that there is someone who loves us, there to pick us up when we fall, lean on when we cry. For those of us with faith we know that someone is the Lord.
When we were conceived we were pure and free from worry. It was that purity that bonded us with the Lord. But we corrupted it, swayed into disobeying the Lord by the forces of evil we ate from the tree of knowledge and were stripped of that purity and thrown out of paradise. We would now know adversity and hardship. Despair and heartbreak would become part of who we were. Man would no longer live in harmony which each other but look to take advantage of each other for their own selfish reasons. Fortunately for us the Lord is a forgiving and he did not give up on us as it is written in John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
It is the Law of Attraction which uses the power of out mind to translate whatever is in our thoughts and materialize them into reality. When we honor the Lord through praise and prayer we are embracing the Lord, strengthening our faith in him and thus discovering the roadmap to eternal life and materializing his blessings on to us. These blessings include the strength, a strength so strong only He can truly give to us, to overcome any adversity in our journey to happiness. It is when we would connect with the Lord on this spiritual level we come to understand that He is all powerful and He is the only ally we need.
The lust for power, greed and corruption has been an intrinsic characteristic of human behavior since seemingly the beginning of our existence and while the majority of us make a conscious decision not to embrace these traits there have always been those among us who do. Therefore it is logical to say that no single individual should be considered above reproach simply because of the group to which they belong.
As citizens it is our moral responsibility to foster an atmosphere that strengthen the capacity of society at large. To point out corruption where it exist and to build transparent and accountable systems of governance so as to ensure that the vulnerable are not take advantage of. This is especially true when the corruption is committed by those who are in power. One would imagine in a society as enlighten as we imagine ourselves to be that this is would be an easy task, but alas it is not. As these individuals in power persuade the masses that to they are on their side. That anyone who doesn’t look or think like them is a threat to them and only they can protect them. They use their affiliation with you to persuade you any attack against them is an attack on you as group. They have a aura of charisma about them that they are able to manipulate some in the media to spreading their message of prejudice and fears to the average citizen so that confronted with evidence of their corruption many who follow them will dismiss the evidence on the grounds that it is an attack on and suggests an implausible degree of corruption with a individual they have been conditioned to respect.
It is fair to question the motive of the individuals who promote this narrative. It is apparent when one examines their talking points more closely that they are not concerned with the good of society but rather simply in increasing their power, wealth and promoting their own agenda. History has shown us that their strategy of divide and conquer has proven to be effective. As President Lyndon Johnson once said
“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
As citizens of America and humanity as a whole we must not allow their noise to cower us into silence. We must remain vigilant and continue to point out with the loudest voice possible corruption at every turn and our demand for justice. For if we do not we doom society as a whole for as Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote:
“In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousand fold in the future. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers, we are not simply protecting their trivial old age, we are thereby ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations
